N12 TREASURE ROUTE
The N12 Treasure Route, which forms part of the N12 National Route, stretches from Emalahleni (Witbank) in Mpumalanga past Delmas into Gauteng, Johannesburg onto Carletonville passing Soweto and into the North West Province via Potchefstroom close to the Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site. From there it enters the city of Matlosana /KOSH (Klerksdorp, Orkney, Stilfontein and Hartbeesfontein ) through Wolmaransstad, Bloemhof and Christiana onto Kimberley in the Northern Cape Province.
From Kimberley it stretches through Hopetown, Strydenburg and Britstown to the historical town of Victoria West. Just South of Victoria West at Three Sisters, the route joins the N1 National Route to Beaufort West. From there, it runs onto Oudtshoorn and ultimately over the Outeniqua Pass where it ends at the Indian Ocean and joins the Garden Route.

Recognition & Credibility :
N12 TRA membership allows you to use the N12 TRA logo in your marketing collateral. This will confirm that you have been certified by the Association as a provider of quality tourism services – providing assurance to local and international buyers.

Service Support :
The N12 TRA recognizes the business difficulties and redundancy that can arise during the business development hence the board invites members to submit proposals for their businesses /projects. At such times,The N12 TRA will assist as far as possible,particularly with Grants and other funding that may be available from a variety of organizations.

The N12 TRA publishes annual list of all current members and their contact details.A free copy is distributed to all members and in a very useful networking tool(not available to non-members).

Industry Knowledge :
All N12 Members receive the association quarterly online newsletter free of charge.Quarterly newsletter contains: expert commentary on current issues, special features on tourism topics, regular features on N12 TRA inbound, outbound and domestic tourism,memrship and sub-group news and reports of association meetings. An online version of the journal is also available to members

Training is supplied and delivered at sponsored rates to improve your staff productivity , community awareness of tourism value , sustainable tourism implementation all done by our specialist business implementation partner.(Sustainable Tourism Program Partners) – STPP

Training Meetings:
N12 TRA hosts around 5 provincial Steering Committee meetings per year. Officials in tourism , hospitality and leisure are invited to discuss the N12 TR Development. These meetings are held with other organizations improve contacts between related sectors of the industry.

Discounts:
Members get 15% discount on all marketing costs when advertising or marketing through the N12 TR channels and in our marketing media. Access to tourism and travel trade show and exhibitions –Indaba, Meetings Africa, World Tourism Market Africa , the Gateway Show and others not affordable for most businesses.

Info Distribution:
Distribution channel for the N12 TR Guide & Map throughout the country in all the main centers where travelers visit. Information offices all along the route in all towns and at all the countries main tourism points (airports , SA Tourism International offices). The Guide & Map will also be distributed by our provincial partners at the main international travel show.

Lobbying: Be part of a strong big tourism association with partnership agreements and influence in national, provincial, district and municipal tourism agencies – our collective member’s voice is noticed.
